Our Story - KPD Group & Sam
KPD Group is a UK-based acquisition and investment firm focused on buying, scaling, and growing values-led businesses in the specialist care and IT services sectors.
Led by Sam, an experienced acquirer and operator with over 20 years in IT and a proven track record in property-backed care delivery, KPD Group is committed to preserving founder legacies while unlocking long-term growth.
Sam has built a multi-million-pound property portfolio by acquiring and transforming residential and commercial assets into supported living homes, social housing units, and serviced accommodation. This experience gives him a deep understanding of operational compliance, regulatory frameworks, and service delivery in complex environments.
Earlier in his career, Sam founded and led a healthcare software company, which he ran for several years. The venture gave him first-hand experience of the challenges care providers face when adopting digital tools, and offered deep insight into the intersection of care delivery and technology. This experience further reinforced his commitment to building scalable, values-led businesses that solve real problems in the care and IT sectors.
Alongside this, Sam plays a strategic role in a boutique cybersecurity and digital transformation firm, delivering critical IT services to public sector and regulated industries. His hands-on exposure to the fast-evolving IT landscape — especially in managed services and cybersecurity — equips him with real-time insight into market trends, client needs, and acquisition opportunities.
